Best wine on our Princess NYE cruise. — 7 months ago
The perfect accompaniment to plum pudding. Very toffee and raisiny with intensity at 18.5% ABV. My son who rarely drinks anything loved it. Don’t worry. I’m sure I haven’t created a monster. He still went for his regular 10K run on Boxing Day. Rutherglen fortifieds are one of Australia’s gifts to the world of wine. — 2 years ago

Like a flavorful wine sundae—biting into a medley of strawberry, pear, and maraschino cherry with the perfect vanilla creamy on top. — 5 years ago
Light golden color. Aromas of orchard fruit, citrus, white flowers and an intense petrol note. Bright flavors of green apple, lemon/lime, grapefruit and white peach. Hint of wet slate on the long finish. Vibrant acidity and nicely balanced. So fruit forward that bottle seemed just a touch flabby. Crisp and refreshing. Thanks for sharing, Chris B! — 2 months ago
[Half-bottle] This lovely sweet orange peel and apricot Australian Muscadelle is a great stickie for dessert with some Junior’s Gooey Butter Cake from Costco, long finish, still miss our couple of visits with Bill Chambers at the winery (first in 1989)!! — 6 months ago

Old Speckled Hen is a favourite. It's malty, slightly sweet with a nice hint of caramel. A good solid old fashioned English pint. — 4 years ago
Black cherry, some pepper and toast. Decanted 3 hrs. Light tannins. — 6 years ago
Dal Bolognese Roma — 4 months ago
Exceptional chardonnay with the latent power of a GC burgundy, but with salinity and tannic grip. Beautiful nose with reductive gunsmoke, apple, and baking spices. The structure is the perfect fit for the intense and powerful flavour bomb: lemon merengue pie, smoke, tangerine, all in perfect balance. The concentration and length are world class. As long as I can remember of ANY wine I have tasted. World class for A$90 — 4 months ago

2017 far better than anything after 2021! — 8 months ago
Light gold with a hint of green; explosive nose initially flinty and smoky that then speaks of Puligny; rich, silky, round palate with ripe pit fruit and almost tropical notes with fine balancing acidity and finally a hint of oak. Impressive. — 2 years ago
Stunning. Everything tied together beautifully after a couple of years in bottle. Delicious stuff!! — 4 years ago
Outstanding!! Super tight and focussed. Struck match, flinty and nectarine kernel complexity. Drink now or hold for 3-5 years. Wish it came in magnums! Ripper booze!! — 4 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 2018 “Il Rosso delle Donne” pours a garnet color color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with gorgeous notes of fresh raspberry, strawberry, mustard seed, fennel, horse blanket, a touch of truffle, dried green herbs, a mix of organic and inorganic earth and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Giving Pommard vibes…in the best of ways. Drink now with some patience through 2048+. — 12 hours ago
