A very energetic mouthful, somehow ripe and pulling it own weight (with acidic towing equipment) so you don’t feel the weight but you know it has a body, like me in an empire waist dress. Zingy ripe raspberry makes friends with preserved lemon while white toast and white pepper duel it out as to who is the loudest (but not the whitest we know the toast wins that). An excellent aged Cabernet to go with a Scotch Fillet at the local pub in Sorrento on Boxing Day night. Domaine A is living proof that Tasmania does get enough sunshine to ripen Cabernet Sauvignon. All the classic Cabernet descriptors - Cassis Tomato bush, and Tobacco leaf to the fore here. Medium weight with resolving tannins. — 4 months ago

See previous note for this vintage and cuvée in July 2022. An exceptional Tassie Pinot Noir. My last Freycinet in the cellar which is an oversight on my part. A sweetish yet earthy palate showing savoury root vegetable flavours, like beetroot as well as black cherry. A luscious flavoursome delicious palate. I have had 15 year old Pinots from Freycinet before and this one could go the distance. — 2 months ago
