A little caramel on the nose and the first part of taste was not much but opened up midpalate to finish with caramel and spices.

This was a half bottle that cost $13.79 back in the day. Had this with dessert at Le Virtú in Philly — 10 days ago

Medium copper salmon colour . Slightly waxy dried orange , spiced wild strawberry , touch of resin , sea salt . On the palate this has more fruit , with touches of orange , spiced dried strawberry , roasted nuts, saline seaside hints , balanced acidity and elegant , refined personality. Intense and long , this is probably showing better and more complete than the 2011 I had a few weeks ago . Just starting to get going , but still with a long life ahead. From now and over the next 5 to 10 years perhaps . — 12 days ago

Medium light salmon pink . Lightly red fruited , strawberry, raspberry , creamy notes as well, touch of baked bread . Some cranberry and redcurrant hints . On the palate quite rounded and fruited , red currant and cranberry , slight toasty , mineral note on the finish . Quite high , piercing acidity , good extract and length . Very fine and refined , elegant . Nicely balanced and good length. 27th Edition. — 12 days ago
