Kobler Family Vineyard Syrah 2012

Totally resolved. Just a hint of tannin. Not the funk I usually associate with Syrah. A little short but what a nose! — 9 days ago

Green Acres Vineyard Chardonnay 2019

A fun new discovery in Sonoma. This was an all in discovery at a tasting and the elegant approach is present across their Chards and Pinot. This Green Acre varietal is just special. — 13 days ago

Un peu plus fort Green Valley Pinot Noir 2019

A special wine! Limited production because it’s from a front yard. Bubbles and great Pinot nose and body. Delicious. — 6 days ago

Water Trough Vineyard Pinot Noir 2007

Having this side by side with the 2007 Lolita Ranch Pinot. We have two dishes duck confit and baked salmon with polenta. Both wines obviously amazing with confit and surprising pair well with the salmon

Fresh cut ripe plum and dark cherry, cola, still super youthful on the nose.

The palate is dense but silky, vanilla, mixed berries, cedar and tobacco. Bright and vibrant. The heavy oak influence carries it through its age. Definitely needs a chill as the alcohol is a little hot.

Glad I'm having this wine with age

Sundawg Ridge Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017

Fragrance of cherry and some spice. With air, both appear on the palate. Quite different and more mature than most Saintsbury releases but quite pleasing. April 2021. — 14 days ago

Pommard Clone Freedom Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018

Pop.and pour, 1 hr slow ox. Absolutely crushable. On the tea, cardamom, wild strawberry, black cherry compote. On the palate: fantastic acidity, good density, tea and cardamom, with juicy black currant, black pepper, pomegranate seed and a thin line of finely grained tannin. Excellent. — 24 days ago
