1990 vintage. Orangy-golden hue. Superripe Red delicious apple, dried cantaloupe and apricots in both the nose and flavors. Still good effervescence. Mature fruit components threaten to close down and overwhelm the finish but what acidity remains just manages to stabilize the experience. Don't know how much longer this Champagne can continue to pull off this delicate balancing act but mega-kudos. Fantastic trip in the ole time machine. — 10 days ago

How can village level taste so damn regal?? Been getting so lucky with my latest batch of Lafon with some age. The joy of a non oxidized bottle is a beautiful thing. And when an entry wine tastes like a premiere Cru it’s a good night. Mega mineral and stone. At Monarch with Cerasulo and Madi and Renee — 5 days ago
