Closed and timid at first, but soon displays a broad complexity, wonderful vinous aromas of red fall apples, raspberries and ripe peach, plenty of toast and crushed stones and a wee note of arrack and a almond nuttiness.
Dry palate, high and well balanced acidity gives the wine a proud posture, the fine beaded and round mousse is very persistent and interwoves the intense fruit profile and rings out in a long finish.
Double up day 2! More nuance and complexity one day later

Nectarine and black currant on the nose. Apple upfront with a medium syrupy body. Decent amount of heat starting on the mid-palate and increasing over time. Finishes with a hint of rhubarb. — 6 years ago

From Aube in southern Champagne, pale lemon color, light creamy mousse, tiny bubbles, with aromas of stone and citrus fruits, underlying toasty notes, dry with 8g of residual sugar. On the palate flavors of apple and peach with lime citrus zest, honeysuckle and chalky nuttiness. Lively acidity with good balance, long finish ending with fruit, biscuit and slight chalky notes. — 7 months ago
Rare blend of first press cuvée, in a combination of several vintages, and has made with carefully selected plots of Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay. three of the vintage still wines were aged in oak before blending and bottling. the cuvée matures a minimum of five years in the bottle before being desgorged. — 2 years ago
Excellent. Yeasty and full bodied. Would get again. — 4 years ago
Fruity rose champagne. Good balance but maybe lacking a bit of precision in the bubbles. — 8 years ago

Young and too eager to pleased. Should wait for another 5 before drinking. — 5 years ago
E equibilibrato e elegante. — 7 years ago
A favorite local producer. Great vibrancy, acid, and life to Scott's white wines especially. This was my first go at the Melon de Bourgone. I said "wow" out loud in remarking in its nerve & zip. Not a show stopper but an affordable daily drinker with attention and craft behind its creation, not to be discounted. A great match to a dinner of Mt. Lassen trout. California love!
