Otskhanuri Sapere Special Collection Red Dry 2015

Very nice wine, more like a Pinot Noire. Lighter in color and a little pepper flavor. Very smooth and enjoyable after breathing — 20 days ago

Mae's Vineyard Cabernet Franc 2014

“Granits”, 100 cases made. Deeply extracted pigment, purple red. Graphite, blackberry, cherry, herbal, blueberry, funk and barrel wood notes in nose, all layered, a lot going on there. Flavor profile is similar, cherry-berry dominant with tart, slightly bitter finish. Some lactic acid present. Needs time to open. Paired this with lemongrass beef jerky from Richmond BC (Taiwanese style, but processed in Canada) and playoff baseball. Fruity style, but where are the tannins? Light fine grained skin tannins begin to emerge after 15 minutes, increases to moderate astringency after an hour. Stylistically more like Oregon Gamay noir than Washington State Cabernet Franc, but well made, quality wine and highly drinkable. Only after an hour do the black pepper and herbal flavors begin to emerge that are more consistent with varietal character. — 2 months ago

S.R. Tonella Cellars

Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

With family roots to BV over decades of winemaking, the style shows in this wine. A black fruit dominant wine. The finish on this wine makes SURE you don't miss the Rutherford dust, as it is ABUNDANT. For someone wanting to learn about Classic Napa and, further, classic Rutherford wine, **THIS** is the wine to serve. This wine is right on par with Wm. Harrison for Rutherford gem deluxe. And crafted in the nuclear style. This one can hold for 20 years easily. Well done Raymond and Steve. Fantstic Napa cab. — 8 days ago
