Concentrated, tooth-staining, utterly seductive layers of blackberry compote and plum, satiny crème de cassis, cedar and woodsmoke are woven together by fine, grippy tannins. There is a lot of power and finesse here, and it ends with a dusting of cocoa powder and the promise of many years to come.

Super dark palate with heavy tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Big on the palate with tons of blackberries, sweet spices, pencil shavings and black currants. A little anise too. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2035.

Before 20 min decant it has a slight tannin taste in the tip of the tongue but after 30 min it's just as good as the 2010. Super nice. Bought 1/2 case
