Bocca Di Lupo Castel del Monte Aglianico 2014

Oaky, big Aglianico. Very structured with lots of tannins. Something vegetal in the finish. Probably should have let it age a few more years but very enjoyable nonetheless. — 8 years ago

Lupo Meraviglia

Tecnica del Salasso Tre di Tre Negroamaro Blend 2022

This 2022 is definitely more evolved than its 2023 stablemate, a tad less fresh than bottles drank last year (2025), medium-long finish, still quite good, I’m thinking this is ideally drank no more than 4 years from vintage. — 2 months ago

Casa Lupo

Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend 2018

Nice bottle at a restaurant also called Lupo.

Nice red garnet hues with rather intense aromas of plum, chocolate, and raspberry. At the same time smells fresh and old. Soft acidity meets the palate with more of the same from the nose but also additional vanilla and tart red currant. Smaller bodied, medium finish. Quaint.

La Garagista

Lupo in Bocca Rosé Blend 2019

Unusually perplexing, but immensely enjoyable Vermont rose! Tastes more like a cider/amber wine hybridization then it's namesake. Tangy stone fruits, some mellow vermouth notes, a welcom bitters in the back end. Voluptuous wine! — 6 years ago

Cantina Andrian

Tor Di Lupo Lagrein 2015

Really trying to get an understanding of the Lagrein grape while in its home region of Italy. This is a nice one, but quite different in style than the Nusserhof we had the other night. Deep dark violet in the glass. After an hour of air, quite nice aromatically, with deep dark fruits coming through and the initial oak note blowing off. Full bodied, with a fair bit of young tannin - which made it a great pairing for simple meats from a rustic wood grille. Nice long finish with good acid. — 6 years ago

Riserva del Lupo Lugana Trebbiano 2015

clear and gold. i don’t get much on the nose, pretty low intensity, hard to pull out aromas. dry, medium + body, almost round on the palate. medium - acid. hard to pick out flavors on this one. pear strikes me as the main note. maybe some green melon too ? good wine, good with food (lamb gyro) — 7 years ago
