Domaine de Montille
Aux Malconsorts Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Pinot Noir
Vosne-Romanée, Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France
Still needs a lot of time but much more minerally than fruit. Excited to see this in 10-15 years.

2011 vintage. At Boca di Lupo. Medium ruby hue. Nose is slightly rustic: bramble fruits, earth, manure and hints of old oak wood. On the palate, medium acidity and alcohol, medium concentration and body. The mid palate is a bit hollow and the wine generally is flat. The finish is decent but not memorable. Disappointing for a Malconsorts. Might improve from here: drink now until 2023+.
