Aug 15th, 2015From 375ml. Med gold in the glass. Love that nose. Apricot. Stone fruits. With air, it grows into being expansive in the mouth. Great acidity and the fruit is wonderful.

Mar 27th, 2015Petrol nose. Super clean finish with barley a hint of sweetness. Dry with great structure. Delicious.

Feb 5th, 2015Unfortunately premox? Wasn't aware of that issue with this wine. Must be an outlier. Not horrible, but not what it should be. #rieslingfeier

Feb 1st, 2015You know it's a great night when you start with Clos Ste Hune. Riesling at its best! At the Crabtree Kittle house in Tarrytown, NY. Highly recommended. Amazing winelist.

May 26th, 2014From a 375. Deep gold color. Aged nose. Notes of ripe apricot, apples, honey, some petrol and slate, and some spice. In the mouth this is light and lacking acidity, which worsens with airtime. The nose is fun but unfortunately this bottle was past it’s prime.

Jul 19th, 2020Opens with a dynamic nose of peach skin, orange marmalade and lemon zest with a distinct edge of petrol. Expands with air on the palate with peach, orange peel, creamy apple and mineral tones. Superb cut with a lush, rich quality on the mineral and stone fruit driven finish. Appears to have upside for 5 to 10 years if properly stored. Thanks to Cedric Nicaise at EMP for the brilliant recommendation.

Jul 27th, 20181995 vintage. At Boca di Lupo. Deep lemon hue. This is a wow wine. The nose is very complex and alluring: honey, citrus fruits with a hint of peach, petrol notes, and steely minerality. On the palate, the wine has bracing acidity and is energetic and tense, while hugely concentrated. Medium bodied with some oily texture, and medium alcohol. A broad fresh mid palate that fills your mouth's senses, and a fabulous finish that goes on for a minute or more. This wine could improve even from here: drink now until 2027+. Simply superb.
