Started out sweet which is surprising because I can’t really the last time I’ve had a CdP red wine start sweet from the front and end earthy on the back notes. Definitely could get the earthy and herbaceous Grenache and some of the spicy Syrah. Most of these types of wine come across as warm with juicy notes and Dusty tannins and this one didn’t disappoint, it was just a more subdued or maybe colder tasting version of that. The tenants were there to add structure but did little else, and overall the entire bottle felt more restrained than some of the sunbaked and hot fruit flavors you can get from the southern Rhône. Delicious example of CdP, enjoyed it with a stew in this cold weather. — 2 days ago
Really enjoyable and well made #pinotnoir #pinotnero #riserva from #altoadige #sudtirol #italy Perhaps the acidity is a little too high and there isn’t enough ripe fruit and body to balance it, but it has delicate and precise aromas and flavors. — 2 months ago
Went very well with our meals (both chicken and seafood entrées). Mild and not sweet. — 21 days ago
Ripe red fruits and hint of soil on the nose. Red cherry notes, with a touch of blueberry. Mild tannins, and strong finish. — 5 days ago
Nose has dried lemon peel, iodine, wet sandstone, honey butter compound, wet vanilla bean and wilted white flowers.
Palate has caramel covered dehydrated apricot, dehydrated lemon, candied lemon, wet river stones, light salinity but some amazing acidity and full, long finish; the viscosity is perfect.
No way would I have guessed the age on this bottle correctly, still relatively youthful! Future bottles may be 2026+; Wow, amazing!

Really solid. Polished and silky, but earthy and mineral and rustic too. Held up for days. Structured but not impenetrable; could age, but I didn’t eat the baby. Good work in a sloppy hot year. Bouland deserves more attention; I think he’s surpassing a few of the heirs to the gang. — 6 days ago
