Yep, they made wine requested by Napoleon, praised by Dickens and Jane Austin so it says on the label. Unique, beautiful little spot right next to Cape Town where they grow the grapes and produce the wines. 2023 must have been a warmer/riper vintage due to the fact that this wine seems quite tropical. Aromas and flavors of pineapple, mango, pears and lemon/lime. Noticeable touches of minerals and white pepper on the long finish. Very fruit forward and refreshing. Crisp acidity and well rounded texture. Not a typical expression of Gru V, but pretty enjoyable. — 9 months ago
