Delicious Priorat. At its peak imho... balance of spine and softness and fruit and secondary notes. Held up over 2 days (argon overnight). My last bottle :-( Love Mas d’en Gil :-) #ClosFonta — 4 years ago
2012 Del Dotto The Beast. A special occasion purchase having tasted it in barrel. A reminder of how far my palate has evolved away from high alcohol heavily oaked Napa red. Still nice, but the 15.8% and sweet oak dominates. All the complexities of the various sites (the whole concept of this wine) is lost imho. I want more earth, mineral, and acidity to remain. — 4 years ago
Delicious on pop and pour. Almost too smooth. A few hours later and next day a bit more of its spine showed up. Loads of fruit and almost a touch sweet (oak?). — 3 years ago
Fun Grenache Noir from the Pyrenees. Not complex but delicious. Wish I had more! #Clandestinus #ImanolGaray @garagiste_wine — 4 years ago
Giuseppe Cortese 2006 Barbaresco Rabaja... tiniest bit of bricking at the edge. Tons of spine still left here. Drying in mouth. But very good cherry and tarry notes with good minerality. Could’ve perhaps sat a few more years but better to open it early...great value. — 4 years ago
Outstanding. Very drinkable now with a nice tart finish. Very quaffable and also great with food (was great with pot roast!). Fruity and very light wood. Complexity will come later. 13% ABV thank you @ashesxdiamonds #Vineyard1 — 4 years ago
Perfect now. Lovely, elegant, but still rich. Great balance. Took 15-20 min to really sing. I wish more Napa cabs were made like this. #BV #GeorgesDeLatour 1997 — 4 years ago
Sadly tasted considerably past its prime :-(
The cork was perfect and the fill was proper. Anyone else have this recently? Wondering if just a bad bottle or past it’s peak. #Siepi 2007 — 4 years ago
1997 #LaSpinetta Vürsü Vigneto Gallina. Long cork showing signs of seepage. Plenty of spine but soft enough to really enjoy. Classic fruit and mineral and nose opened up over the first hour. Lush, lovely Barbaresco paired with @acquerellosf xmas takeout! — 4 years ago

Already a lot of bricking. Took a while for a sharp edge to soften. Became a very nice classic Barbaresco with good balance of fruit and secondary notes. Glad I opened it now. — 2 years ago
