Bright rose tan gold. Shy nose of baked white cherry. Solid gold palate of dried apple, dried peach, and lightly charred brioche all with something saline on the entry and finish. Extra Brut Blanc de Noirs: made approachable by climate change (perhaps its only upside) and some good winemaking by the folks at Comtesse Gerin. Excellent starter with plenty of fruit balanced by linear leanness. Seafood, greens, fried chicken, popcorn, and such are waiting. Drink it when you buy it. — 16 days ago

2010 vintage. Cocoa powder, black currant, river bank, cedar, cinnamon dusting, gingerbread, dark rye, espresso, sapodilla, and croissant nose. Red cherry, red currant, cinnamon bark, black pepper, espresso, tart blackberry, crushed violet, light anise and cherrywood. Lovely wine with lots to grow, and lots to love.

N; like violet pastilles. Swampy funk, blows off, stones, interesting blue/black
with a touch of garrigue.
P:Lithe, somewhat saline upon entry,
trips over the tongue, such nice mouthfeel. Blackberries, slightly prickly tannins, this wine could go 10 more years. The panoply of flavors hints at tomato leaf, black fruits, with that ever present chewy tannin structure lurking.
Mind you, we PnP this one.

N: Caught between Burg and CDP.
Pepper, garrigue, souis bois, black and red, animalistic in the best way. it smells tarry, spice, dark fruits. ( so far, it’s giving the last Clos de Roilette a run for it’s money)
P: light textured and deep, ( ha) tarry, plums, liquorice, chalky blackness.
