I sold Barolos and Barbarescos from this winery with the first importer I worked for back in the early 80s. It’s been in the decanter about an hour, and though the lightish color shows maturity, some fruit is emerging g to join with the intense mahogany furniture/old library scents. Incense too, along with faded rose petals. Very classic. In the mouth, it’s powerful and somewhat austere. Not a fruity wine. Still a fair amount of tannin present. The austerity and power will pair nicely with the braised oxtails (coda alla vaccinara) that are almost ready. — 5 months ago
Golden delicious apples, citrus, stones, soft tannins and medium plus acidity. Better than it’s been. — a month ago
Traditional but bright — 6 months ago
delicious! not as sweet as you would expect, but has notes of apricot jam, nectarine, and spice. almost tastes like mulled wine, but not as strong. super easy to drink and not super high alcohol. perfect for spring and summer! — 2 years ago
Cape Roth is over while we were in BALENA for our yummy dinner that Mario made which is chicken cutlets with mushrooms and Caprese salad! — 2 months ago
I am always curious to taste more Minnella
This wine is rich and mineral
It would go great with swordfish
Honestly not my style
I find it to horizontal
I prefer a bit more freshness and verticality
Although it is a wine that reveals the territory that comes from — 7 months ago

So good, herbs with a waxy palate. Some tropical fruit. Love this. Great balance. — a month ago
