On the palate complex flavors of apple, peach, pineapple and lemon citrus, cinnamon notes, well balanced with acidity on a nice mouthfeel. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2022 “Swan Clone” pours a pale garnet color with a transparent core, medium viscosity and no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is youthful with mostly tart red fruits: strawberry, raspberry, rhubarb, herbs and underbrush along with some warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. Lean and fresh, this needs quite a bit of time to flesh out. Drink now with sights set towards the future but this will be better after 2027 and through 2042. Only 75 cases made. — 4 months ago

Crystalline, bright, elegant. Beautiful ‘feinherb’-balance: just a hint of sweetness in the opening, meets racy acidity, and a clean dry finish.
