High alcohol (15% abv) is a bit daunting but this is still a lovely wine: Deep ruby (almost purple) with beguiling aromas of violet, blackberry, black cherry, plum, Cedar, vanilla, graphite and
Blackberry jam. Long finish and lots of potential over the next 5 or 6 years — a year ago
Fantastic with BBQ tonight. Surprisingly good library wine. — 3 years ago
dark ruby; cassis, plum, dark chocolate, licorice, spice; full bodied, ripe, plush, juicy, good freshness and structure; made from blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, and 1% Malbec deselected from the flagship bottling sourced from Champoux, DuBrul, Galetzine, Klipsun, Palengat, Tapteil, Discovery, and Wallula vineyards; good value at $40 — 4 years ago
Wine smelled good right out of the bottle but had a bit of astringency on first taste. That went away with some air and decanting. This wine really showed well over a 2 hour dinner. Good fruit without being fruity or jammy and that made it easy to drink. — 4 months ago
Great balance. Fruit, texture, flavor, nose. Bargain at a restaurant at $75. Ssh don’t tell them. — 8 months ago
Blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc and 13% Merlot, sourced from the Gamache and Champoux vineyards. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits, floral and pronounced cigar box spice, aged in 100% new French oak. On the palate flavors of ripe raspberry and blackberry with cedar and spice. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, oak and spice. Drink now, no further aging benefit! — 2 years ago
Horse Heaven Hills, 325 cases made. Purple red, moderate pigment extraction. Light herbaceous nose, call it tobacco light. Blackberry flavor with length on initial pour, nice round mouthfeel with fresh blackberry aftertaste. Just a tad tart. Tobacco leaf aftertaste emerges after 20 minutes with some fine seed bitterness. I might have popped this one open too early as it’s got plenty of tannins for further aging. Still, it’s got fruit to spare… — 6 months ago
Pop and pour. A bit over a year and a half since my last btl. On the nose: alluring as ever with blackberry, blueeberry, vanilla, charcoal. On the palate, this seems a little less vibrant than I would like: good acid and fruit up front, but falls of quickly on the mid with finely grained, but attenuated tannin on the finish. If this btl is any indication, this is on the downslope, but still drinking well. — 3 years ago

Layers and layers of dark red fruit, raspberry, cassis. Lovely WA fruit. Well balanced tannins, elegant and lush. Gonna need to buy more. A tour de force for sure! — 4 months ago
