Orange, excellent clarity. Pepper note in nose. Not much flavor initially, just a hint of sweetness, finish of tangerine peel and white pepper. Rounded mouthfeel with some mild skin astringency, no surprise for an orange or extended skin contact wine. After a couple of hours, I coaxed some peach flavor out of it; might need some air, more likely I overchilled it. Reasonably priced, decent value. 80/10/10 blend of Grenache Blanc, Grenache and Orange Muscat. Beware of strange dirigibles in your vineyard while you are at it… (check the fine print on their label) — 5 days ago
Williams Selyem Central Coast Pinot Noir 2015: Medium-light bodied. Well balanced. Red fruit dominate followed by blueberry, spice, oak & earth. For me, first time trying & enjoying their Central Coast Pinot. Not the most complex but absolutely delicious, delightful and easy to drink! Enjoy the nice weather & happy Sunday to all! This 2020 Pinot Noir opens with zesty raspberry, blood orange and rose aromas, along with hints of cola and baking spices. Juicy, seamless and energetic in style, it offers sweet red berry and floral pastille flavors. Fine-grained tannins shape the finish, with spice-driven persistence. $24.00 (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, May 2022) — a day ago
Beautiful acid and citrus — 20 days ago
The wine is very dark, so inky that light does not pass through it. The nose is fresh, riddled with black and blue berries, clove, cinnamon and cedar. On the palate, the rich fruit is out front with a savory backbeat trailing behind. The tannins are firm, while the finish is long and extremely tasty. — 11 days ago
On my list of favorite Syrahs! A beautiful dark magenta color. Blackberry tart cherry, floral aromas jump from the glass with secondary notes of pencil lead and sandalwood and hints of bacon fat and milk chocolate floating. Taste - a smooth creamy and richly structured wine. Blueberry and cherry fruits still dominate with pepper, crushed rock and tar following. The finish is long with lingering notes of bitter chocolate and espresso and a touch of heat on the end but overall flavors are well integrated. Should open up even more throughput the evening. Luv the label. — 15 days ago
this wine was recommended as a chill red perfect for sipping on a hot day. it’s bright, light, easy to drink with notes of berry. we had it with korean chicken. i like the coolness of the wine against the spice of the dish. — 6 days ago
