2024 vintage. The first time I tasted this very rare grape variety, it was saved from extinction by Philippe and Diane Cauvin at Domaine La Colombière. These days a few estates produce Bouysselet wines, and intriguingly Château Anthonic in Moulis, grafted Bouysselet on Merlot vines, with the first production expected in 2025. I suspect this is produced from young vines, but the resulting wine is very interesting. The closest thing that comes to mind is Chenin Blanc, but it seems to have a character of its own. I will taste a few others soon. Abv. 13,5%. — 4 months ago

2000 for daughters birthday decanted, wonderful immediately and grew better over time sitting in the decanter. Only one bottle left in cellar after this one. — 3 months ago

2010 vintage. Decanted and tasted after 30 minutes and 1.5 hours. Light-medium/medium body. Silky, supple and supremely beautiful-for Bordeaux. Beautiful closure on a lengthy finish. So much attention to detail without it being overtly obvious. Exceptional beauty and a fave, cutting edge BDX producer-along with Durfort-Vivens in Margaux to taste the possibilities of the region. For Pauillac, nearly as gorgeous as Pichon-Lalande...a very close second. This was so stunning. 12.5.25. — 17 days ago
