Well stored bottle, No problems whatsoever Dark web info, Chateau Lalande Borie is a relatively new estate in the Medoc. The vineyard was initially created when the Borie family purchased 18 hectares of vines from Chateau Lagrange in 1970. To that, they added 12 more hectares of vines from various other growers, some of which needed planting.
Things changed with the 2018 vintage when the estate was renamed Le Petit Ducru.
Chateau Lalande Borie Vineyards, Terroir, Grapes, Winemaking
The 25-hectare, Left Bank vineyard is planted to 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc. The vineyard has a terroir of gravel and clay soils. The clay in the soil is part of the reason that today, you find more Merlot in the vineyard. Previously the Cabernet Sauvignon occupied 65% of the vineyard makeup.
The vineyard is well placed in the western part of the St. Julien appellation. It is situated inland, not too far from Chateau Lagrange, Chateau Talbot, and Chateau Gruaud Larose. The vineyard is planted to a vine density of 8,500 vines per hectare.

This is a delicious 13 year old Bordeaux. Showing red and black fruits with earth, wood, spices, light vegetables, pencil lead, peppercorn, leather, tobacco leaf, cola, coffee and wet leaves.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Nice and complex with a spicy finish and fine grained tannins. I also loved the nose here.
I was a little hesitant about decanting it, but I did so to remove the sediments, and then followed its progression. Always a great experience.
Needs an hour to open up properly and show more complexity, tannins and structure. Peaking now.
Very enjoyable by itself or with food.
I paired it with Brie cheese.
12.5% alcohol by volume.

Dark rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, cedarwood, top soil and flowers. Very marked by the cabernet in the mouth, its medium bodied, fresh, balanced and with excellent fruit and mature tannins. Excellent and ready to drink but no rush. — 4 days ago
2019 vintage. From 13 hectares in the Haut-médoc appellation. In this vintage, the Cabernet Sauvignon was extremely concentrated, which explains the unusually high percentage of Merlot (67%). A serious wine, that is drinking well, but should further improve over the next few years. — 3 months ago
Vintage 2009 | classic Bordeaux at its best. Chocolate and black fruit, cedar. Very complete taste with spicyness. We compared this blind next to Lagrange 09, Leoville showing male power, Lagrange a bit further forward with female playfulness. Long aftertaste. Paired with venisonnpaté with foie gras and figs. — 3 years ago
Really nicely integrated. Lead pencil and a light touch of cedar. Boisenberry and black currant. — 6 years ago
Perfect note and aroma. Best vintage of 1995 — 25 days ago
Another delicious rendition of the “Chateau Lagrange Blanc.” Beautiful fragrance seemingly melds a little herbal, gooseberryish SB with characteristic lanolin and orchard fruit Semillon notes (I have no idea what the blend is here.) Deep, lovely, soft minerality too. Impeccable balance in the mouth. Nice but gentle acids keep the deep, long, dry palate fresh. Such a great value too. — 2 months ago
Pretty good! Came in the Costco Bordeaux case and drink on the lighter side but was very pleasant. — 4 years ago
"Odedi"
Pale lemon in color with a light golden hue.
Strong nose of citrus, limes, light oak, spices, earth and herbs.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing.
Dry on the palate with lemons, green apples, grapefruits, herbs, earth, spices and light wood.
Nice length on the finish with limes and almonds.
This is a very tasty white wine from Bordeaux. Elegant and spicy. Well balanced and complex. Soft and smooth.
Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself or with food. Will pair nicely with fresh seafood.
A blend of 73% Sauvignon Blanc, 12% Sauvignon Gris and 15% Sémillon. Aged for 7 months in (40% new) French Oak barrels.
