2019 vintage. From 13 hectares in the Haut-médoc appellation. In this vintage, the Cabernet Sauvignon was extremely concentrated, which explains the unusually high percentage of Merlot (67%). A serious wine, that is drinking well, but should further improve over the next few years.

It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday.

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Soft nose of red fruits with light wood and chocolate notes.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, spices, light oak, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs and earth.

Long tangy finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a very tasty Merlot blend from Bordeaux. Soft and elegant. Showing nice complexity at this point.

This 6 year old, Third wine from this winery, is drinking very nicely now. Fruit forward and easy drinking.

Good by itself or with food.

A blend of 67% Merlot and 33% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in used French oak barrels for 12 months.

14% alcohol by volume.

90 points.
