Full bodied and lingering complexity. A great blend that comes from the Baga grape unique to the region of Bairrada. If this was from Châteauneuf-du-Pape expect to pay 3x more. — 6 years ago
Phenomenal wine for the price. Earthy at first then flowery. The perfect wine for a special occasion. 1989 — 6 years ago

Dark, dark ruby with a slightly orangish rim. Minimal to no bricking. Cedar, forest, chocolate mousse, and tart cherry on the nose. A 23 year old Baga hitting it’s peak right now? Sign me up chief. This actually is slightly reminiscent of Nebbiolo with the structure and leathery influences on the palate. Smooth tannins along with high acidity compliment the full body. On the palate there’s enough fruit left, though it is subtle at this point. Notes of dry leather, coffee, wildflowers, and tons of earthy funk. Super interesting wine that’s in a beautiful place right now. — 6 years ago
In beautiful shape, better than I remember the last bottle being. Dried red and black fruits, dry dusty tannins, forest floor, dried porcini mushroom and old leather umami nodes, cedar, dried herbs. Did I mention it’s dry? But it’s a beautiful wine, the flavor profile exudes sun baked warmth but the alcohol clocks in at less than 12% so it doesn’t fatigue the palate — 2 years ago
A gentle behemoth. Brooding blackberries, blueberries, gravel, black pepper with a savory finish. Well integrated tannins. Naturally, you'll want to give this some air. — 5 years ago
This wine is amazing! Pleasing to the pallet and the same age as me lol! — 6 years ago
