Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2012
Medium-bodied wine with high acidity and tannins they may catch you off guard. After the first glass i gave it day to open up. Day two had nice cherries, some baking spice and tobacco. Unfortunately, in my opinion, its been "over-oaked". Too much vanilla and oak for Rioja. I still think it will get better with time. Due to its affordable price, it may be a great starter wine for some getting into cellaring wines and who wants to note changes over time. — 7 years ago

My first Tannat and I really enjoyed it. Full-bodied with medium tannins. Dark fruit on the front end but has earth and spice on the mid-palate which creates a nice balance. Nice long finish with some spice. Give it a couple hours to open up. — 7 years ago

Very unique wine. Similar characteristics to Nebbiolo. Beautiful color from the age reflecting a very earthy earthy full-bodied wine. The initial nose also has tar, wet soil and cassis. Needs half a day (at least) to open up. The flavor has cherry, raspberry, tobacco and beef-like flavor. Great smoky finish. Very different for me — 7 years ago
