March 2024. Solid, classic, very enjoyable Brunello. Have had 2 vintages if this wine now. 2014 here and the 2016 in a restaurant. This 2014 (not a great vintage year) was surprisingly very good. The 2016 was young,so we decanted. It was much better, as expected given the great vintage year ‘16 was. Look forward to having more of this! — 9 months ago
Fruity with strong body and clean finish. Ausgezeichnet — 2 years ago
From a magnum. Strong tanins at this early stage, chewy. Dark, plum nose and long finish. — 2 months ago
Really fantastic with many years to become more refined. The 2022 Areio from Bedrock’s Evangelho vineyard is deep and dark and full of violet on the nose and light pinkish purple in the glass. It’s incredibly smooth then there’s a bite of red berry and a finish of leather and baking spice as you work through its structure. — 4 months ago
Dry, citrus, underripe green apple, crisp acidity. Enjoyable but not that complex. Muscadet like. — 2 years ago
Smooth, with a touch of spice to the finish — 3 months ago
Citrus forward with notable viscosity in a way so many skin contact wines could only dream of. — 3 months ago

Blend of primarily Nero di Troia with some Aglianico blended in. Dark ruby color. Aromas of tart black and blue berries, tar and bitter baker’s chocolate. Flavors of cooked blackberries, black cherries and dark plums along with notes of dark chocolate, tobacco and baking spices. Long and lingering finish. Quite ripe, juicy, full bodied and concentrated. Nicely balanced and harmonious. Fantastic QPR. Excellent find! — 3 days ago
