Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of three hours. The 2015 pours a beautiful garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and some tart red fruits: Morello cherry, raspberry, blood orange, black tea, red flowers, licorice, leather, exotic spices, and dry stony earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and savory. This needed about an hour in the decanter before it really began to strut its stuff but when it did, holy smokes, it was out of this world. A brilliant wine and a beautiful expression of Sangiovese and Montalcino. What a lovely treat. Drink now through 2045. — 2 months ago
Quite the surprise! The nose is just right there upon uncorking with a fresh berry scent that transcends right into the glass. This is a great wine just to sip or with tomato sauce, pasta and cheese and definitely a crusty bread. A real bargain. — 4 months ago
If you see it, buy it! One of the best Nerello that I have had. This is a lighter version with tart red fruit, crisp acidity , hint of smoke and 14 ABV. Well integrated alcohol and layered flavors. This delivers big time. — 8 days ago

2018, opened in 2025. Delicious, golden almost orange hue, fresh fruits and citrus nose, balanced tannins and acidity, Etna crushed stone, juicy and super easily drinkable, yet still complex and interesting. — 2 months ago
Very nice, a little age has helped bring out some complexity. But the 14.5% weighs it down a bit — 15 days ago

Same wine I tasted 2.5 years ago. Yea, old me. It did need some time and now it’s singing. Damn. I may be convinced. Chocolate, some caramel flavors and oak presence in a good way. Okay. I’m convinced. 2018 — 25 days ago
