Tasty, eat with fish or charcuterie! — 4 years ago
Charles is in charge of my taste buds! Seriously though, Scott Baio is just terrible now. But this wine isn’t. Great taste for the price point! — 4 years ago
Medium+ garnet, with a tinge of orange-brown color around the rim. Raspberry and cherry nose, along with that pencil shavings smell. Second hour of air, secondary scents unfolded with some mint, spices and lightly roasted coffee beans. Feels quite Burgundian. Silky tannins. Not much gripping. Mid weight on the palate. Nice acidity; not overly tart. Surprisingly long. The taste lingered for quite a while. 91-92. — 7 years ago
Great fruit slight acidity and a nice finish. Chatham wine store. 2023 vintage. $26 — 5 months ago
The 2017 Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso Ca'del Laito impresses with its lift and grace, as autumnal spiced cherry-berry fruits are complemented by hints of sweet oak. Ripe red/black berries coast along a core of acids. Hints of dark chocolate and clove come forward toward the close. $25.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, March 2022) — 4 years ago
Still youthfully dark in color with a very slight browning on rim. Upon opening still very tight and shy on nose. Decided to decant this for 3.5h prior our Christmas dinner and it started to open around 3h mark. Then it was a great Barbaresco from Treiso offering slightly darker side of Nebbiolo expression with ripe cherry, some leather and smoke, fine pepper notes. Healthy acidity and fine tannins offers solid back bone for further aging and development. I take this is 2-3 years from peak and should continue to drink several years after that. Glad I have 2 more bottles. This was a fabulous qpr back then at 23€/bottle — 6 years ago
Not familiar with this wine but very good! Not very mouthy but leaves a dry oak finish. Cork was absolutely oaky and devine smelling — 7 years ago
This was cherries in a bottle. Tart, bright red and black cherries. Slight earthy component. Was slightly overpowered by some of the cheeses on the board but was a good pairing. Put a slight chill on it to 65 degrees. — 4 months ago

Lovely Barbaresco, a bit light in color but nice in taste.
Not too heavy but brings a nice flavor of full body.
Not so tart and harsh as the one 2 days agon from Verduno.
The owners of the Vineyard Ca del Baio are 3 sisters, one went to school with Alessandro from Casa Ressia.
Excellent price for this wine.

Clean, pure and incredibly moreish, this was everything you want from Barbaresco - especially at this ££ price point. Other first night with no decant saw some Brett and dominant oak, but the second night it was gorgeous, floral, firm, balanced, beautiful. Big W. — 3 years ago
The 2016 Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso Ca'del Laito boasts a seductive and perfumed bouquet, with notes of brown spice and tobacco blossoming further to show raspberry coulis and a lifting hint of fresh mint. This is quite savory, with silky textures ushering in cool-toned red and black berries and inner herbal tones. Sweet tannins come forward through the long finale, balanced by a concentration of primary fruits, promising years of positive evolution in the cellar. The Ca'del Laito is matured in a combination of 50% third-pass tonneaux and 50% large, 25-hectoliter barrels for 23 months. There’s beautiful symmetry in this gorgeous Ripasso, but don’t expect it to perform like a baby Amarone. (Eric Guido, Vinous, February 2021)

Exceptional quality!! Blend is primarily Garganega that is rounded out with small amounts of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Trebbiano. Pale straw color. Plentiful aromas of tropical fruit, white flowers, wet slate and a light touch of smoke. Flavors of peach, cantaloupe, lemon zest and raw nuts. Beautiful volcanic mineral/saline thread on the long lasting and crisp finish. Medium bodied with a slightly waxy/mouth coating texture. Rich and savory. So hard to put down. Thanking Petey and Kase for selecting this beautiful Father’s Day wine. — 6 days ago
