Quite pale in color after 21 years. Very port wine like. Was too busy for detailed notes. Winner of the evening. — a year ago
Hit of pear (Asian pear?) on the nose and a little just-mown lawn. Complex, almost busy, palate darting from one thing to the next: sweet, savory, tart and citric. Long sweet-sour finish. Fantastic!

Big plum, blackberry, and dark cherry flavors. Black pepper. Plenty of zippiness. A bit of earthiness. Delicious with pizza. Excellent wine. — a month ago
We had a busy weekend with some friends going through a few bottles. We started with the nice invigorating Riesling from Figgins. Not like the 2020 however. we paired it with some different light cheeses like Brie, Muenster cheese, an apricot flavored cheese and a garlic flavored curd cheese. They all brought different flavors out of the wine. Fun experiment. Interestingly, one of the bottles was carbonated 🤔, the yeast must have still been active. — 4 years ago

I heard Bill Murray on a podcast recently raving about the bramble-berry pie he had the night before, describing the many berries that went into making it so delicious. It’s a fitting description for the current release of Bedrock’s Dolinsek Heritage red too, which is loaded with a rainbow of berry flavors and all their sweetness and bright acidity captured in a bottle instead of a crust. There’s an added bonus of a long, peppery finish thanks to the 70+% Zin in the field blend and some firm, drying tannins that signal a great future ahead. — a year ago
