Bussia Soprana

Giacosa Fratelli

Bussia Barolo Nebbiolo 2018

Rich red in color with medium plus intensity.

Fruit forward on the nose with red fruits and light oak.

Medium bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing red cherries, raspberries, herbs, coffee, light oak, chocolates and peppercorn.

Nice finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 7 year old Barolo is already drinking very nicely, but still young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly.

Spicy and entertaining. Easy drinking and engaging. Elegant with good structure.

Nicely balanced and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime.

100% Nebbiolo grapes were aged in large oak barrels for 3 years.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$60.

Bussia Dardi Le Rose Barolo Nebbiolo 2013

2013 vintage. Opened and decanted. Tasted after 30 mins and one hour. Medium body. Big concentration. Drinking nicely now but could use another half-decade of intregration to really start stretching out and revealing those Barolo secrets. 11.01.24. — 3 months ago

Wow, floral, faint road tar, this twin Barolo tastes 20 years younger than the Colonello, so rich, so YOUTHFUL, so complex, super long and lingering finish, really close to, if not there already, perfect!! — 4 months ago

Costa di Bussia (Tenuta Arnulfo)

Costa di Bussia Barolo Nebbiolo 2020

Deep red, slightly coppery color under light, it’s young but after some decanting time it starts to open up. Nose is still restrained long after opening, but starting to show some fruit and herbaceous funk as it releases its hold. Raspberries, sherry, black cherry and wet mossy forest floor on the nose so far. Tannins are pretty prominent, dry and chalky, with a full body and long lingering finish where the jammy raspberries shine more as the song ends, even becomes a little ripe tomato as the song fades. Super young, but a great pairing for the pork belly and risotto we had for Valentine’s Day dinner and it shows a lot of promise. — 2 days ago
