The 2017 'Earth' Pinot Noir is a barrel selection wine made by the talented Brian Marcy. As the wine slowly unwinds in the glass, it unveils perfumed aromatics of copious red fruits that come together with peat moss and shades of fresh white truffle on this expressive nose. The palate reveals a wonderfully silky texture that coats the mid-palate leaving begind flavors of red currant jelly, wild blackberry cordial, peat moss and suggestions of cigar ash which all mingle brilliantly. While utterly delicious now, this seductive, yet well-balanced Pinot Noir should continue to cellar marvelously over the next fifteen plus years. Drink 2019-2035- 95 — 3 days ago
A very nice Pinot Noir from Santa Cruz, California. Showing Bing cherry, red candy, strawberries, wild flowers and spices.
Great nose with lots of flowers.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.
A very tasty Pinot Noir, although not my style.

Smell of layered blueberry, blackberry, boysenberry, big crunchy tannin, a light meatiness, some leather, layered and strong, rich purple color, tastes like a watery juicy ridge three valleys blend — 7 days ago
Impressive touch. Fruit is restrained which really highlights some earthy herbal notes. Very balanced. I have been impressed by this producer. Making a number of different styles with different grapes. All have been very balanced and delicious. — 2 months ago
