This blew me away on the first sip - dark fruits, elegant, balanced, not too much oak, full-bodied and smooth, at $19 this is an amazing value. Excellent with cheese and chacuterie but could easily pair with a main (red meat) as well. — 8 months ago
Stunning. Delicious. One of my fav wines of the last 1.5 years. Godello aged under flor that competes with white Burgundy/ Sonoma Coast chards that cost double. Sourced from two tiny plots of 80-100 yr old vines. 80% old foudre, 20% amphora under flor, no malo, no stirring. Sunny bouquet, honeycomb, Asian pear, gun flint, crushed stone, brisk, seamless, cool and classy. $55. — 2 years ago
Plenty of flavor. Great value — 3 years ago
Boxing Day 2022 at OKH. Good balance of body and acidity.
100% old-vine Aligoté. The main plot in Corgoloin’s Le Clou was planted in 1934, and other older plots are included, with the oldest being one planted in 1902 in Magny-lès-Villers. Vinified and bottled completely without addition of sulphur.
“A pale lemon yellow, but more important is the heavenly bouquet, apples, lemon zest, evidently significant dry extract, fills the mouth, adequate acidity, and very persistent. An Aligoté of impeccable character.” Jasper Morris, MW — 4 years ago
From one of their highest plots. Pale lemon color with stone fruits, citrus and floral spice aromas, On the palate fresh apple and pear flavors with lemon citrus. Long finish, bright mineral notes come through on the ending. Nice! Consistent! Tried twice. — 5 years ago
From 3 plots, with some whole cluster. Average vine age around 60 years. Spicy, meaty, complex, opulent and round, but also very elegant. Deep, fine, pure, structured and chewy. Mineral and loamy, with red cherry, black cherry, meat, and great intensity. Precise and built to age gorgeously. — 9 days ago
2016 vintage.
From 2 plots in Castiglione Falletto and 5 plots in Serralunga d’Alba. Vines are 50 years old.
Cherries, black licorice and smoke on the nose.
Wild cherries, laurel leaf, dried flowers, mineral and savoury.
The purity of fruit is incredible.
Smooth and round tannins with a juiciness on the finish. — 7 months ago

5.000 bottles produced from the two plots (one nxt to the church and the other in front of Lafleur Petrus).
Takes some coxing to open up on the nose. Fragrant and deep, nice body on the mouth. Strict and fine on the mouth covering a beautiful world that will be revealed with time.. 93+ — a year ago
Riesling from less than one hectare on a hillside overlooking the village of Riquewihr, Andrée Trapet’s hometown. Like all their holdings in the Côte de Nuits, all plots here are farmed biodynamically. Fermented in tank, aged for 10 months in neutral oak barrels and concrete eggs. Elegant, precise nose with citrus, floral and stony notes. Dry, pure, quite refined. Nice tension, subtle minerality — 4 years ago
A very rare bird almost impossible to find where the production on their 9 plots only amounts to a total of 9000 btls. I discovered their wines when I attended a Bizot tasting & lunch at Marea in Feb 2020 where I found their whole cluster wines had this beautiful purity of fruit & transparency. This btl was no different offering up an amazing nose of red cherry & berry fruits, lush & pure on the palate with baking spices, floral & mineral notes. A wine that is so good now you can drink young but will reward time in the cellar. — 5 years ago

I started drinking Beaujolais several decades ago because it was cheap & farmers wine—true terroir, etc.. “Poor man’s Burgundy etc.. Lapierre Morgon was about 15-20$ then. Obviously times have changed as have prices. This all a wind up to when I find that aliveness again in Beaujolais, I perk up: here it is, in an aged, dark fruited Fleurie; the fruit is gorgeous, full, & dense; balanced acidity. From plots 60-90 yro, full on cassis & ribena. Aged Fleurie released late, & it’s wonderful. So for 32$- on sale around 26$-it’s a pretty, soulful creature. The reason why I got into Gamay. Plenty of sediment so decant. Savio Soares importer, who else? — 4 months ago

Amazing vintage for Ramonet. 2020 Ruchottes, one of the absolute best plots in the region, is simply stunning tonight, with incredible richness, density and texture. It’s powerful, focused and already particularly complex flaunting layers of lilies, citrus blossoms and signature Ramonet spearmint freshness. Finish just stays with you. So good! — 8 months ago
Blend of 83% Tempranillo, 9% Graciano, 6% Mazuelo (Cariñena) and 2% Garnacha, grapes and various plots fermented separately, aged for 20 months in American oak, then blended. Deep Ruby color with aromas of ripe black fruits and floral spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and plum with notes of leather, vanilla and oaky notes. Fine tannins, long finish, lively acidity ending with fruit, sweet oak and spice. Nice! — 2 years ago
A step up from their village wine 30,000 Maravedies. 100% Garnacha from old vines from three different plots on mostly granite soils. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months. Less floral, more concentrated than 30.000 Maravedies. Quite serious. — 3 years ago
Talk about a singular expression of Pinot Noir. A pale gold coloring with effusive creaminess and a nice stream of very small bubbles. The aromas are a bit muted upon opening with just a bit of apple goodness to start the show. But let it sit for a while in a larger bowl and you’ll be rewarded. Warm cinnamon and crusty bread. Roasted nuts and blackberries all day long. There’s some fresh cherry and plenty salinity to boot.
Single vintage, single varietal, single vineyard. The hallmark of Jerome Coessens. 100% Pinot Noir from the lieu-dit of Largillier. The fruit hails from the plots that he has dubbed Fruit and Flower and that’s amazingly accurate. The amount of yellow fruit and floral notes are just ethereal in nature. The acidity borders on “racy” but instead settles on “zippy” which is just fine.
The attack is one that is quite pointed and full of finesse. It’s a very generous champagne that grows by leaps and bounds over time in the glass. An abundance of red and yellow fruits along with black pepper and dried herbs. Very fruity on the long finish with an added kick of spice. Singular and gorgeous. — 4 years ago
Good acidity. Cherry and licorice. Crisp for a red. — 5 years ago

Black fruits galore with huge granitic expression. Super mineral, earthy and clean, with major concentration and real freshness. So alive and energetic, the fruit has incredible vigor. Has that classic ashy Cornas thing. From 6 different plots, with granite and some limestone. Fantastic. — 7 days ago
