Beautiful merlot. Tons of fruit with plums, blackberry jam, but also a lot of tobacco leaf and some earth. Cedar, dried flowers, and tannin on the finish with dark fruit overlying it all. — 4 years ago
It needed breathing. Initial midrange tannins that went away with time. Full bodied. Bitterness changed to a well balanced barrage of all flavors — 7 years ago
Really unfortunate to get a barrage of ads for unrelated products (video games) while trying to input this, @Delectablewine Delectablewine. I understand the need to monetize, but seriously, optimize your targeting a bit better than that. We expect a bit more intelligence from an app devoted to sharing and appreciating fine beverages. Overstuffing the free version--that many of us have been using for years--with unrelated ads to prod us towards paid premium only builds ill-will. I'm considering going back to handwritten wine journals à la Michael Broadbent, or even Instagram.
This baby Brunello is well-integrated, full of luscious dark cherry and leather notes. Medium finish. Should develop well over ten years. — 9 years ago

Fantastic Syrah. Big wine with lots of dark fruit. Just got better as the evening progressed. — 10 years ago
Beautifully expressive wine. Intense violets with a barrage of red and black fruits. Wonderful minimal use of oak. The palate has been left alone with some nice texture and a long finish. Great to see a screw cap, do it on the Barolo as well please :) — 10 years ago
what a shape shifter! started out as a barrage of tea, restrained dark fruit and undergrowth. over the course of about one hour this opened up to a very generous offering of wild strawberry and ash. certainly an impressive showing. complimented a plain cheese pie perfectly. — 3 years ago
Smooth and explosive with bold cab franc flavor — 9 years ago
Well, this is the start to a very big day. A much bigger day in my life than in wine, but happy to capture some of the highlights via labels to share with everyone. On this day I got on one knee overlooking the hills of Hautvillers, France and asked the love of my life for her hand in marriage. The ensuing barrage of champagnes should help to capture the reaction to her answer... — 10 years ago

Columbia county 2.0: Rose for Lopez fans like me suffering from recent sticker shock. Instead of 100$ it’s closer to 30$ & while not bearing that same intensity of acidity & barrage of tertiary flavors, close enough. More a lozenge red color, Unami & light red fruit notes, & a very solid acid backbone but not zingy. More like a light red. Paired very well w sliced grapefruit & orange w a tahini sauce, z’atar, & crispy hot onion oil. — 3 years ago

On the nose, citrus and yeast. On the palate, lemon, yeast. Loses bubbles quickly. — 2 years ago
