Bricco Appiani Barbera d'Alba 2008

Even 11 years in this is delicious. Woody, leathery, and a little bit funky with good acid. With Barbera this good, who needs Barolo? Ok, maybe that’s a stretch... — 4 months ago

Ravera Barolo Nebbiolo 2011

Tasted at the estate with the owner, it has been an emotional explosion. Authentic, elegant and complex, even if it is still young this wine is pure emotion, with an endless after taste. The vines are grown according to respectful and natural methods, Flavio is a true depositary of piedmontese ancestral viticulture. The vineyard itself is idyllic, bursting with biodiversity. The winemaking technique is traditional, the cave is carved in the tuff soil, extra humid with the bare stone still visible. For me it is a perfect match — 25 days ago

Corte Majoli Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend 2012

New to Amarone type wines... I was pleasantly surprised... although I'm seeing this might be a blend.
Hints of fruit, raspberry and fig, smooth on the palate, medium bodied... with a slightly dry finish. Very inviting wine. Can be easily drank on it's own. Will be buying again

Dolcetto d'Alba 2011

Very nice. Solid tannins, medium acidity, and interesting mix of tart cherries, strawberries, and traits of a bx? Some cassis? Would buy again. — 2 months ago
