Well balanced red with our Easter lamb dinner. — a year ago
Needs air at this young age but quickly hits its stride. Really fragrant, with zesty, ripe berries, spice, a yeasty, fresh bread note, and mineral-flecked turned gravel. Loads of upfront fruit, but in a dry package with zingy acids. Slight bitter note complements the fruit. So pure tasting and food flexible. Textbook. — 2 years ago
Minimal alcohol on the nose, great legs, wonderful mouthfeel. Drier then expected. — 2 years ago
"This 2016 vintage is not new Barolo. It's old Barolo, from the town of Serralunga, a star among the sub zones of the Alba appellation. The winemakers Luciano and Walter described themselves as traditional to the bone, using native yeast organic biodynamic farming, and Slovenian larger style oak barrels. He'll taste the tar, plus black cherry, leather, rust and forest floor." — 3 years ago
A plum & blackberry. Then a vanilla, licorice and coffee. Value for money - spectacular. 🍷 — 3 months ago
Starting to think this might be my favourite Barolo...up there with wines from Aldo Conterno and Rinaldi. Deep, concentrated and brooding with lots of cherries and balsamico notes. This is not a light and acidic Barolo at all but big and bold. Loved it! — 7 months ago

Oh wow, this is #valpolicellaripasso is lovely, bolt of cassis, bramble fruit and just this really faint undertone of peppery spice. Though this is Ripasso it’s very lithe on the palate - not weighty at all, fleshy acidity and that subtle peppery spice on the finish. This bottle will disappear fast, with or without a meal pairing. #corvina — 7 days ago
