Areio e Vento e Amor Evangelho Vineyard Red Blend 2019

Fine light drinking red with an assortment of heirloom varietals you would see in a Sandlands release. Down the middle table red style with good acid but lighter in alcohol and tannins. — 5 months ago

As advertised; jammy but unsweet opening, robust mouthfeel with a long bold finish of leathery goodness — 4 months ago

Au Bon Climat

Santa Barbara Historic Vineyards Collection Sierra Madre Vineyard Chardonnay 2005

Stunningly complex, mesmerising and fantastic.
Full of tertiary notes: Figs, hazelnuts, stemmed ginger, dried lemon peel, honey. Loads of caramel, baking spices, vanilla and tonka beans. Quite oxidative almost sherry like. Super bright acidity, wonderful balance and structure, a super lush and creamy finish.

Sine Qua Non

Pajarito Del Amor Grenache 2016

+2 hour decant (little cloudy sediment). A gorgeous purplish dark magenta color. On the nose: deep notes of bright red fruit, clove, floral, charred meat, smokey marshmallow. Taste: luscious, balanced, indulgent wine with cherry/strawberry, graphite, spice, dark chocolate, dried herbs, and a dark coffee bean long lingering finish. YUM! — 3 months ago

Tenuta Iuzzolini

Madre Goccia Crotone Greco Chardonnay 2022

Subtle sweetness on a dry white was unexpected of a southern Italian white - good thing I didn’t have to try this blind, I’d have guessed something Alsatian. That said, it was great. — 10 months ago
