Intense red fruit and color for a wine that was immediately approachable. Structured and balanced for cellaring. Delicious with lunch! — 6 months ago
Excellent. Elegant and smooth. Loved it — a month ago
Always fun to explore an indigenous varietal from Spain - especially when Alvaro Palacios is involved. I found this Mencia wine to be medium bodied with good acidity and structured tannins that were present in this young wine but not obnoxiously so. The fruit is darker dried red fruit that proved to be a good compliment with grilled shishito peppers. It was so nice to dive into a new aspect of Spain’s wine history. — 4 months ago
"after harvesting from vines with deep roots in the rocky soil on the banks of the Mayuco river, Raul and his brother Alvaro chose to go organic and use no oak, letting this stallion of a wine rip with spice, pepper and ripe fruit. Mineral notes hit once on the palate followed by a long finish." — a year ago
Lovely expression of Priorat in a bottle!!! Muted red fruit on the nose with medium ruby color in the glass. On the palete one is rewarded with red cherry, raspberry and strawberry with slate minerality a plenty. This is a real treat from Palacios to the lucky drinker!! — 3 months ago

This is pure Catalan soul in a bottle—think sun-soaked red cherry, wild herbs, crushed slate, and just a touch of smoky spice. Bold yet refined, with the energy of Priorat’s rugged hills and the elegance of world-class winemaking.
