I have always been a fan of the wines from this domain. Now at age 15/16 this wine stands firm! Everything comes together with a nose of red fruit, licorice, leathersoap. The mouthfeeling is silky, cherries you know these big black ones, subtle acidity making you want to drink more but no need as the finish takes you over the minute. Fantastic wine! — 16 days ago

Premier nez marqué par des notes d'agrumes dominées par le citron. Une touche animale fugace est perceptible à l'ouverture mais se dissipe rapidement avec l'aération. Évolution vers des arômes de jubube (confiserie de fruits) apportant une dimension plus douce et exotique.
Bouche
Attaque vive caractérisée par une acidité prononcée, typique des chardonnays d'altitude. Notes de citron bien présentes, cohérentes avec le nez. La texture est précise et ciselée. Finale longue et persistante, laissant une impression de fraîcheur minérale.
Accord
Dégusté en comparaison avec le White Bones de la même maison, offrant une perspective intéressante sur les différentes expressions du terroir Catena Zapata. Partagé avec Boul.

A Sangiovese driven wine with a delightful vivid ruby red with notable violet hues. On the nose is highly persistent in the fruity and spicy notes.
The one is already in its prime time, well-balanced between acidity, and approachable tannins. Tends to be a bit fruitier with some red berry compote with a juicy mouthfeel and moderate finish, which makes it savory as the spices shows on back-end of the palate as well. Cheers! — 2 months ago

Cannot go wrong with 2018 vintage on most central Tuscan wines and this isn’t an exception. A nice, inexpensive, appealing and approachable Sangiovese driven with a gentle tannins, bright orange acidity, juicy cranberry, ripe red cherries and spice and subtle touch of oak.
