Black cherry, herbal, eucalyptus, blueberry, raspberry, ripe strawberries, leather and game. Great tannins, well balanced and pretty finish.

During the initial hour of opening the wine has an elegant almost northern/piedmont character... the next day this wine really comes into its own. the wood and the fruit are restrained, but all well integrated with classic tobacco and leather notes.

Vivid nose dominated by tobacco and smoked meat. Savory black cherry and raspberry fruit with gentle tannins. Ideal with porchetta.

Been awhile since my last Vino Nobile-too many other regions, I guess. Nice savory tones, sour cherry, maybe a little thin? I need to brush up on on my VNdM!

Straight out the bottle, earthy and dark fruit on the nose. Somewhat tannic and a bit spicy, but nice acidity. My medium ribeye and garlic mashed said thanks. The next day mellowed out nicely with more pronounced cherry flavors. Finished well with a buttery grilled gouda on Challah.

Cannot go wrong with 2018 vintage on most central Tuscan wines and this isn’t an exception. A nice, inexpensive, appealing and approachable Sangiovese driven with a gentle tannins, bright orange acidity, juicy cranberry, ripe red cherries and spice and subtle touch of oak. A perfect pizza companion wine for a casual drinking!
