Yes it is. But approachable due to modern winemaking I think. I can imagine that 20 years ago you should hold these at least 10-15 years before opening one

Deep red color with a hint of purple. Medium legs, medium body and very balanced without any sediment. First nose of cherry with a hint of violet and spice. Easy drinking with cherry, raspberry, red fruits with a bit of earthiness and a hint of vanilla. Polished and finishes beautifully.

Ook enkele uren na opening en decanteren een mondvol tannines. Een 8,9. Na 2 dagen begon de wijn uit deze magnum toch wel erg goed te smaken (9,2) en op dag 3 dacht ik: top druif die Sagrantino, goed voor 9,5 punten! — 10 days ago
