Finally drinking well. Past two attempts (2-3 years ago) showed too beastly. Has balance now. — 3 months ago

Love Charles Pinots. I do like the Doctors Vineyard from Santa Lucia slightly over the Russian River.
I hold these 5-6 years from bottling, not vintage before I start drinking his Pinots. Excellent Floral fruits, strawberries, pomegranate, dry cranberries, some blackberries, haunting raspberries, cherries, red cola/licorice, dry crushed rocks, fresh to dryish herbs, mid dark spice, vanillin, nutmeg, soft cinnamon, limestone marl, hints of fresh tobacco, wood shavings, red, dark, blue flowers framed in violets. Rainfall acidity with excellent tension, well balanced, nicely structured, floral and polished finish. — 2 months ago
Wowie holding up great. Thought it was raisiny to start with but it then went in reverse and tightened up with an hour. Really lovely dried herbs, red fruits, sandalwood and a little nag champa. Stellar and super fun to try a 22 year old Pinot. It could be nothing other than California and honestly SLH in particular which is a good thing because Burgundy belongs in burgundy and the Pisoni’s belong in SLH. Bravo — a month ago
Full bodied for a Pinot, robust and smooth. — 2 months ago

Very tasty. A big pinot but lots of layers of red and blue fruit penetrated by herbs and some spice. Super long finish that lingers for more than 30 seconds. I’m would say this is my favorite Pisoni to date. — 4 days ago
