Blueberries, cherries with a slight smokiness on the nose. Garnet color. Medium acidity, well balanced and a clean finish. — 2 months ago
Complex nose of spice, early to mid season cherries and tons of limestone. Needs air but so pretty for such a humble wine. Unreal fruit on the palate. Dense and explosive with great purity and superb minerality. Really impressive but does need air. 21 Pinots from Germany and so transparent but do need air. I will be back. Good concentration and sapidity with air. Lots of raspberry coulis today. 9.1 to 9.2 overnight. — 17 days ago
Such a masterful wine at almost 11 years of age. Nose is luscious and deep. Mint and red fruits and dramatic exotic spices. Terrific minerality. Limestone galore. Layered and perfumed. Knockout. Some charcoal as well. Palate is so juicy and energetic giving luscious red cherries that burst with intensity on the explosive finish. Then it cuts a swath of mineral and slowly dissipates. The work of a genius. The sweetness of the fruit and depth of minerality are so intertwined here. Unreal purity. Truly the most amazing Rhini I have ever had. — 3 months ago
I really liked this wine when tasted at the winery in May 2024. Now it seems closed - the exuberant fruit i remembered is gone (tried 2 bottles to be sure). These recent samples (Dec. 27th) did drink more like reds and lacked the usual „man what is this“ wow effect of E&M. Faint hint of strawberry, elegant and pure. Opens up after 4 hours. — 18 days ago
Very dense and big! Could go for another 10-15 years. I like Ziereisen wines and met him. Yet i prefer more elegant renditions. Quite dark. Cherry, blackberry, lime, cherry. Super complex. Plenty of acids. If you have this in your cellar you are in for a treat. Ziereisen is a little bit full of himself rightfully so but still - i prefer the humble. — 2 months ago

Just phenomenal. So confectionary and fresh. Insane inner mouth aromas. No formal notes. — 5 days ago
