A gift from the Italian Chamber of Commerce event, this is much better than expected.
A civilized Aglianico yet retains its rustic charm. Supple and easy drinking. Tannins are quite refined for a Aglianico at this age.
Taburno is one of the 3 Aglianico DOCG’s, Taurasi being the most famous one. — 10 months ago
Hints of dark fruit. Fills the mouth. Smooth and dry — 2 months ago
One of my favorite southern Italian whites, and one I always prefer with a few years of age. Paired with spaghetti and fried zucchini discs cooked into a cream sauce with basil and grated pecorino. Did not get to try the dish but diners seemed pleased. Biodynamic. — 4 months ago
Falanghina is fun to share with wine novices and experts alike as they are slightly off the beaten track and utterly delicious. Golden yellow with a zesty, bitter salted almond note on the palate, they are voluptuous, not losing track of that sharp salinity, though. Very alive, bringing in under rich white peach and herbal notes to the mix, finishing floral with that almond note recurring. — 8 months ago
Quite aromatic on tropical fruit notes, and has zero MLF, which allows to show its bright acidity and great characteristics of the Falanghina as indigenous grape. However it is an IGT, which has other white grapes blended for a more complexity and super delicious and delicate mouth feel and taste. Absolutely loved it.!! — 2 months ago
