Crisp and lively. Has good mid palate weight. Finished clean. — a day ago
This is really nice. Classic Condrieu-like nose is floral (in a restrained way), and has pure but musky white fruits, along with just enough crushed rock minerality to keep it interesting. Mouthfilling but not heavy, it’s got fruit and nice acids and finishes dry and long. Me likee. — 7 days ago
2019 vintage. Bâtard-Montrachet nose, Chablis Grand Cru finish. Thin, watery body and the mid-palate is definitely in a period of transformation but this wine is going (other) places and would love to revisit in a year. Mineral component and acidity are on point currently with that ethereal Santa Cruz Mountains terroir but expecting this wine to fatten up in the next twelve months. Fascinating. This producer is making some palate-challenging chards and pinots along with a solid red blend...all with low case production. This one is all of 130 cases and with a nice price. — 5 days ago
Pale to medium lemon; pronounced intensity aromas of baked golden apple, peach, golden raspberry, intense cedar, baking spices, vanilla; dry, medium acid, medium alcohol, full bodied, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; very ripe and round on the palate (acid perhaps a bit low), but very command concentrated — 2 days ago
Nose has ripe blackberry, over-ripe black currant, dehydrated black cherry, moist prune, dried mint, old leather, old cedar, fresh cigar, ever so slight eucalyptus and milk chocolate powder.
Palate has velvety black fruits, blackberry/black cherry/plum, cedar, wet leather, wet volcanic rock, moist garden soil and wow what a finish, so long, so beautiful. Well cellared '96 CA should last forever! Medium tannins persist! Decanted 6H, more time would be appreciated, alas our last and only bottle, damn it.
Paired to Allen Bros. filets (Prime/Complete Trim) grilled to 127° then rested for 12m, perfectly medium rare; Toasted orzo with grilled squash and brussel sprouts with bacon. 🤤
An early Father's Day with my parents, so I don't have to compete with my Sister & Nephew's in 24 hours, plus we'll have the better wine. 🤞 — 2 days ago
Lovely wine combining the delicacy, elegance, & finesse of Alto Piemonte nebbiolo and the concentration of appassimento grapes. Haunting nose, velvet palate. Supremely elegant. Cherry heering, soft tannins, dense fruit, medium finish. Needs upwards of 2 hours in the decanter, but 2012 is drinking beautifully now. — 3 days ago
On a hot almost-summer night this wine hits the spot! ☀️
It’s a Sauvignon Blanc from the Valle de Casablanca D.O. in Chile 🇨🇱 where the vines from which it hails receive cooling influences from the Pacific Ocean breezes, lending balance and preserving acidity. 🌊
It’s no wonder this wine is labeled EQ as in Equilibrio (the Spanish word for balance), because it offers a wonderful balance of ripe tropical fruit aromas and flavors with vibrant acidity and notable minerality. 🍍 🥭
The aromas and flavors are fresh, albeit ripe, generally tropical with passion fruit, guava, mango, underripe pineapple, also green apple, gooseberry, freshly cut grass, and wet slate.
It’s a perfect patio pairing and fun to explore the beauty of new world Sauvignon Blanc from this region.
It’s also a great value at $12.99. 👏👏👏👏👏

Pale gold. Lemon, minerals, high acidity and bitterness level. Crisp, sinewy wine. Apple skin, green melon, paraffin, freshly cut green herbs. Many users say they find this Chablis-esque, and I can see that.
After a day in the fridge this is slightly richer and less restrained. Very nice wine.. 👍🏻 — 10 days ago
