Rocca Grimalda

La Rocca Garganega 2016

Colour was dark yellow already, the wine is fresh and it has enough acidity and fruit to age another 3-6 years min. Great wine but p/q - — 18 days ago

Ronchi Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2016

Delectable Wine

The 2016 Barbaresco Ronchi, the estate’s top selection, marries elegance with power so well. Freshly cut flowers, mint, sweet red berries, anise and blood orange confer freshness that plays off the wine’s dense, expansive fruit. A rush of sweet raspberry, cherry and rose petal punctuates the exuberant finish. The 2016 is a fabulous wine from a property that has been on the ascent in recent years. Rocca di Montegrossi

Chianti Classico Sangiovese 2018

Superb. Especially for $30 or so. Licorice and red fruit. Intense without weight. Good acidity helped complement the food. A winner. — a month ago

Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2017

Delectable Wine

The 2017 Barbaresco is pliant, open-knit and very easy to like. Sweet red cherry, orange peel, cinnamon and star anise give the 2017 a decidedly exotic quality to play of its curvy personality. All the elements come together so effortlessly. The 2017 is beautifully done. This is such a pretty wine. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2020) — a day ago

La Rocca Soave Classico Garganega 2017

This is a great wine to go with seafood risotto. Did not change flavors. Also , very good to just sit and drink. Fruity and robust. — 18 days ago

Rocca delle Macìe

Famiglia Zingarelli Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend

Sangiovese 90%
Colorino 5%
Cabernet Sauvignon 5%.
Didnt think the DOC allowed non- native varietals. Anyway, cherry galore. 14.5 alcohol/ a bit surprising. Little tannic on the finish by itself, but shines with roasted chicken.

Rocca di Frassinello

Maremma Toscana SuperTuscan Blend

Rocca di frassinello is made from the grapes varieties: 60% sangiovese/20% merlot/ 20% C/S. This wine has much more potential then the Poggio Valente (=100% sangiovese) and Crognolo (=90% sangiovese/10% merlot). — 18 days ago

Le Sughere Maremma Toscana Super Tuscan Blend

Delightful. A great Tuscan expression. Juicy and slightly fruit forward but not too much. Paired beautiful with a butternut squash ravioli with a side of steamed spinach with garlic — 7 days ago
