This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from Napa Valley.
Dry on the palate with medium acidity and long legs.
Medium plus in body and complex.
Showing black fruits with cedar, vanilla, leather, spices, tobacco, chocolate and peppercorn.

Tremendously flavorful wine. Balanced richness and enough acidity to be food friendly. Enjoyed with a dry rub sirloin and cucumber salad & Brussels sprouts from garden. Inky and clear with no brick. Nose is understated but no alcohol burn despite 14.6 AbV. Loads of ripe black fruits without jamminess. A hallmark of the vineyard and winery professionals, Ridge consistently manages to produce these monster wines that are always fun to explore and enjoy — 7 days ago
2020 Frediani - Valdiguie
I am a fan of Valdiguie, and from the few I have had (J. Lohr, Lusu Cellars), I highly recommend Ridge Valdiguie.
Spot on, fruity, lighter-med bodied red. Gamay-ish as far as body and young fruitynotes.

Last bottle of this very good HHH cab. A bit more meaty and rustic on the nose than the last bottle that I can remember. Lightly candied fruits, round acidity, and polished tannins are coming together nicely. At its peak, but should stay here for another 4-5 years.

My ‘Mercian wine for a happy 4th! And these exploded! The cab was very good. Initial nose was big, but the mid palate was thin, even watery. Finish brought it back. Threw it in a decanter and 6 hours later it came together with black currants, chocolate, and just enough oak to backbone without ruining it. Meanwhile we had the ridge Syrah behind it which is my happy place. — 19 days ago
