Premium La Coste

Pecchenino

Le Coste Barolo Nebbiolo 2017

Ruby color with a light bouquet of dark fruit, spices, herbs and floral notes, blended from 3 vineyards. On the palate flavors of black cherry, currants and raspberry with notes of licorice, cola, floral and herbs. Long finish, nice balance with fine soft tannins ending with fruit and earthy notes. Just starting to drink now! Will continue to age. — 15 days ago

Premium Gippsland Pinot Noir 2013

See several previous notes. My last bottle of Premium from 2013. Tawny crimson in colour. More fruit driven than savoury on this showing. Red cherry and red florals with some Sous Bois. As in previous notes - ripe fruit. Quite sweet, rich and intense. A superb Pinot Noir by any standard. One of the best Pinots I’ve had this year and that includes New Zealand and Burgundy. — 2 months ago

Brunate - Le Coste Barolo Nebbiolo 2010

Outrageous. Slowly opened up at Chi Spacca with Madi. At first the palate was phenomenal. As you’d expect for perfectly stored rinaldi. Then came the aromatics an hour in. Holy WOW. Truly a singular expression of Nebbiolo. So lucky to have this. — 2 months ago

Le Coste Barolo Nebbiolo 2015

From the lesser-known Cru of Le Coste in Barolo, the nose is textbook Barolo with cherry, raspberry, mocha, licorice, and violet. The palate is full and supple with silky texture. Oak is prominent thanks to 24 months aging in 50% new French oak barrel, but well integrated. Fine grained tannins. — 3 months ago
