From brine to seasoned to cooked bird.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Gotta have two glasses with Thanksgiving Turkey, one for dark & white meat.

Nicely, ripe blackberries, black plum, black raspberries, dark cherries, medium intensity, dark spice, cinnamon stick, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, dark & red fresh and withering florals, near perfect acidity and a lush, balanced, long finish. At it peaks.

Laurent-Perrier

Cuvée Rosé Brut Champagne Pinot Noir

With New Years around the corner, grab something nice. Made with 100% Pinot Noir from 10 different "crus " (or villages), from the North & South areas of the Montagne de Reims, as well as the famous Cote de Bouzy. Deep salmon pink with full aromas of berry fruit and citrus mineral notes wrapped in a delicate fine mousse. On the palate flavors of raspberry and strawberry, bright acidity with spicy notes and orange zest. Long silky finish, ending with earthy yeasty mineral character. — 21 days ago

In a perfect spot for loving a perfectly aged Anderson Valley PN...

This older bottle is showing so beautifully! Aging totally gracefully, still with life left ahead. Delicate, and flavors still leading with fruit. — 9 days ago

(93-95; Drink 2027-37)

Delayed 2023 Thanksgiving with the extended family.

Much to look forward to here, all the B-F traits to love, strawberry, black raspberry, plum, white pepper, still bold and wanting several more years to really enter the zone for my palate.
The 2004 vintage is drinking perfectly now, a respectable presentation of the AVA. I can't wait for this to catch up.

Enderle & Moll

Liaison Pinot Noir 2018

Rose petals, cherry, wet moss, wild berries, subtle herbs (tarragon?), flirty hint of grape, bubblegum. And that signature wild, almost over the line E&M VA. Fine tannins, very pretty. Substantially more va in one of two bottles opened. — 12 days ago

Great wine yet on the edge. And once the VA blows off it is all good. The VA is actually Ethyl-acetate which humans can small in extrem small amounts. The whole VA acronym is a misnomer.

@Ron Siegel almost 20 years of holding - well done. I find it challenging to drink some of my stash when they’ve appreciated so much…
