2 hrs in the decanter.
Gorgeous layers of juicy black and blue fruit, perfect acidity, dark smoky mineral notes and a spicy seasoning mark this wonderfully complete and well structured Sicilian Red.
I’d say this is entering its drinking window now.

These wines are all amazing. The S was a little lighter then some of the other Contradas. — 6 months ago
A really pretty etna rosso, with well defined flavors and good balance. A classy wine. — 10 months ago

Dinner at Prezza in Boston north end. Missed on my first Sicilian (we don’t have the etna Rossa anymore, so had to pivot. Nice wine, little sticky and yet Pinot-Esque. Worked well either the house fried porkchop, which is a must have btw. — 7 months ago

A Chard from Mt. Etna? Little did I know that this is one of 8 wines from Andrea Franchetti’s Mt. Etna project started in 2000.
The nose is gentle with ripe stone fruits, green apple, light toasted nuts, and light spices. Hint of smokiness as well. The palate is quite viscous for Chard with round acidity. Touch of sea breeze on the clean finish. Nice experience.
