Yet another Napa Quake survivor. Probably my favorite winery and wine (really the Cabernet Franc) this old friend (was going to gal, but trying stay under the radar) held up just fine. @LaJotaVineyards — 9 months ago
More viscous than normal for this site. Usually my favorite bottling of an extensive range. — 4 years ago
Deep purple in color, dark fruits on the nose with a hint of cocoa. Smooth mouthfeel with well integrated tannins. One of my favorite petite sirah's — 5 years ago
Popped and poured, no formal notes. This bottle has been stored in my cellar since release. I have always appreciated the restrained expression of Clos du Val however, this was enjoyed after the 2005 “Caravina” and there is a very clear difference in class between the two. The Seavey had a level of energy, sophistication and polish that the CdV just couldn’t match, even though it was 8 years younger. However, there was a subtle charm to it and if enjoyed on its own, would have made more of an impression. The profile was dark, with loads of earth. Structure was firm but in balance with the fruit. Finish was medium. Built for another decade but probably won’t improve.

I literally gave up on domestic Chardonnay...but I love the flavor profile—Tart, juicy Granny Smith and ripe sweet pear. No discernible oak, light crisp acid/ fruit balance and ABV under 13. What a food wine! Every time I pop an Enfield, I congratulate myself on my perspicuity and good sense. It’s not hard to drink well, just ignore the big names and hype. — 3 years ago
Left this one alone for several years before I got my wine palate established. This is fresh and red berries upon opening, minimal squeak factor. Day two, the spices really open up. Will certainly repurchase. — 4 years ago

Exceeded my expectations. Dosage felt high but it was a nice Champagne to open with Family on thanksgiving. — 6 months ago
