This is fantastic. Foxy, animal nose of black currant, brambles and quinine. Such pretty aromas. Really light, almost ethereal on the palate. Tart and structured, with delicate tannins brushing the finish, and a wonderful saltiness. Super harmonious. 9.5+ — 9 days ago
Named after Grange creator, Max Schubert. Adelaide Hills developing as a premium region for Chardonnay. A modern nose of funky solids and nougat. Not a blockbuster on the palate but quite restrained and elegant with grapefruit and mineral notes. Someone like Penfolds cannot afford to make an average wine and this is anything but average. Great QPR for only $35. — 5 hours ago
A bit of volatile at first
Great intensity on the nose, but with layers of elegance. The fruit is red and tiny adorned by balsamic, forest floor, leather, truffle, white pepper, coriander and more, but all whispered in turns
The palate is even better: silky, vertical, filling though and absolutely never-ending.
It makes me think of what they say of Romanee-Conti that overpowers any other wine flavour without being powerful.
An experience!! At peak too i reckon.

Didn’t take notes as I thought I already had a Delectable note on this Atlas but I noticed previous note was 2013 and this wine was 2016. Not dissimilar to the previous with Black currant and a little Clare Valley menthol/eucalyptus. A full bodied palate with black fruits and chocolate - softening tannins and medium minus acid. An excellent red for the money. — 14 hours ago
Been holding on to this bottle for a little while now. Had two of the same vintage before. Needed time to open up but was still juicy, grassy, with an easy finish. The end has definitely changed a bit with time. Sad to see it go. — 3 days ago
Bought at Pine Orchard, 12/20, $37. Very smooth, rich flavors, with a long finish. Def try again. — 14 days ago
I’m not usually a fan of Australian wines, but this Riesling is very nice and drinkable. Lots of tart lemon, honeydew melon, Granny Smith apple and balsa wood. — 3 days ago
Great expression with a taste profile that is somewhere in between Cali and burgundy, not as buttery as a traditional Napa chard but with good minerality and acidity like a Franch wine! — 4 days ago
